INFORMATION FOR BEFORE & AFTER SCHOOL CLUBS
Please Click on the questions below to find out more…
How much will a Digital Wizards Club cost our school?
Absolutely nothing! In fact, we can go even further than that. If you would like us to run a Before or After School Programme for children in your school, we will deliver a FREE whole school ‘Digital Wizards’ assembly.
All we ask is that you send our letters home with pupils inviting parents to register their child onto the programme.
Who is the FREE assembly suitable for?
The whole school. Digital Wizards is run by primary school teachers and we have a wealth of experience in engaging children aged between 5 and 13, with each age group getting something different and memorable from the experience. We are passionate about using technology to produce outstanding learning outcomes in a fun and exciting way.
What age is the before or after school club suitable for?
We have different programmes for KS1, KS2 and KS3. Schools can opt to offer to just one key stage or more if they wish.
Who will come to deliver our Before or After School Programme?
Our presenters are highly trained, reliable and great with children. We only recruit individuals who have prior experience of working with groups of children, and we provide full further training to them.
Our CRB-checked, fully insured presenters arrive with everything they need for the session at least 10 minutes before the session begins, and they make sure everything is neat and tidy when they leave.
What happens if we don't have enough children who register?
We would need a minimum of 10 children to register for a Before or After school club. If this wasn’t reached, then we just say thank you for letting us deliver our assembly to your school.
Sometimes schools choose to fund our After School Programmes but this is not expected and there is no cost commitment of any kind.
When would the Digital Wizards clubs take place?
We will run a before or after school club weekly over the course of a half term on a day/ time suitable for your school. This would usually be 2-3 weeks after we visit to run a Digital Wizards assembly.
What does the school need to provide?
We need a classroom space for one hour after school on a weekly basis for the duration of the programme.
We also need there to be a first-aid trained member of staff on site as not all of our presenters are qualified to administer first aid. Many schools opt for their preferred day of the week on the basis of staff already being on site for other activities but if this is a problem just let us know!
We provide all of the equipment and materials required to run our programmes.
Who manages the registrations?
We’ve made this process hassle free for schools. Digital Wizards provides all registration forms, customised for your particular programme and dates. We will leave these with you and all we ask is that you send them home with the children.
We will contact you once the registration deadline date has been reached to tell you how many children have signed up for the Digital Wizards School Programme.
